We always enjoy our work when a project comes along that pushes the boundary of contemporary styling. This luxury ensuite did just that. It oozes class. When you have this much dark grey in a compact space there has to be a balance. Not to say that this is a small luxury ensuite; this comes with a floor-standing white bath to provide that much-needed balance.
Get the tiling right
From the start we knew the level of detail was high. The exquisite floor tiles cover the entire floor, as the customer didn’t want to see them butt-up to a standard shower tray. These tiles were to flow, so we ensured the wet room area would work by using Impey Aqua-Dec Easyfit Wet-room tray. This provides a sealed waste water area for the shower and a good surface to tile on. Thus, the finish does justice to the quality of the tiles.
Luxury ensuite attention to detail
The features within this luxury ensuite continue. First we have the double ‘his & her’ sinks in black on a gorgeous teak vanity cabinet. It fits perfectly in the corner of the ensuite. Second, you need a mirror – and what a mirror! Set into the wall, flush with the wall tiles, this mirror adds space and style with its clean lines and simplicity. Finally, the lighting is purposeful yet still falls into the contemporary style of this project. We added additional spotlights because the customer didn’t want the room to be too dark with just the mirror lights and the statement chandelier over the bath.
Styling like this makes you want to spend time in a room like this. It is a joy to work on such projects.
